## Overview

AI Content Planning helps your team build a publishing strategy without starting from a blank page. The AI analyzes your business type, location data, and past publishing patterns to suggest a content plan that covers the topics and timing your audience cares about.

Use it to plan weekly or monthly content across all your locations, ensuring consistent publishing without repetitive manual [brainstorming](/docs/publishing/brainstorm-with-ai/).

## How it works

The AI reviews your business categories, recent posts, review themes, and seasonal patterns to generate a suggested content plan. Each suggestion includes a topic, recommended post type, target timing, and a brief rationale.

You can accept suggestions as-is, modify them, or use them as a starting point before passing them to AI Post Generation for full content creation.

- Open the Publishing section and select **AI Content Planning**.
- Choose the time period you want to plan for (next week, next month, or custom range).
- Select the locations or groups the plan should cover.
- Review the AI-generated plan. Accept, edit, or remove individual suggestions.
- Move approved topics into your publishing queue or send them to [AI Post Generation](/docs/publishing/ai-post-generation/).

> **Tip:** Run the planner monthly and adjust weekly. A monthly plan gives structure, and weekly edits let you respond to real-time events and promotions.

## FAQ

**Q: Does the AI know what I have already posted?**

Yes. It reviews your recent publishing history to avoid repeating the same topics or post types.

**Q: Can I plan for specific campaigns or promotions?**

Yes. You can add custom topics or constraints to the planning prompt so the AI builds around your priorities.

**Q: Does this replace manual content planning?**

It can, but most teams use it as a starting framework and add their own ideas on top.
