AI credits are the currency that powers Localith's AI features. Every AI-driven action — from generating review replies to running SEO audits — consumes credits from your account balance.

## What are AI credits

Each Localith plan includes a monthly allocation of AI credits. Credits are consumed when you use AI-powered features like review reply generation, SEO optimization reports, local search grid scans, and AI post generation. Non-AI features like editing business info, publishing manual posts, or viewing analytics do not consume credits.

## Which actions consume credits

Credit costs may vary by plan. Check your current balance in **Account > AI Credits**.

## Auto top-up

To prevent automations from stopping when credits run out, enable **Auto top-up**:

1. Go to **Account > AI Credits**.
2. Enable the **Auto top-up** toggle.
3. Set a threshold — when your balance drops below this number, credits are automatically purchased.
4. Set the top-up amount — how many credits to add each time.

Auto top-up charges your payment method on file automatically.

## What happens when credits run out

When your credit balance reaches zero:

- AI-powered automations (like auto-reply to reviews) pause until credits are available
- Manual AI features show a prompt to purchase more credits
- Non-AI features continue to work normally
- No data is lost — automations resume once credits are topped up

## Free trial

New accounts start with a 7-day free trial that includes credits. After the trial ends, you can choose a paid plan to continue using AI features. If you do not subscribe, AI features become unavailable but your data and manual features remain accessible.

**Q: Do unused credits roll over?**

Check your plan details for rollover policies. Credit allocations vary by plan tier.

**Q: Can I buy extra credits without upgrading my plan?**

Yes. You can purchase additional credit packs from the AI Credits section in your account settings.
